I like the "will not post the address out of respect"...because somehow it's respectful to mail a bind/deaf/probably senile 89 year old woman who lives in a nursing home for her autograph?

She almost certainly hasn't signed in over a decade...and is a famous recluse...your mailing her was a waste of stamps and frankly disrespectful of somebody who has made it well known she wants to be left alone. Who is next on your list Bill Watterson?

She's now essentially blind & deaf and has shunned the spotlight (essentially living as a recluse) for a long time now.

Maybe 10 years ago or so, before her health deteriorated to the point it has now, it could've been considered a longshot, as there would have been at least a possibility if you wrote a heart felt and convincing enough letter. But now, there's absolutely no way whatsoever that anyone's going to see an authentic TTM from her. It's no longer a matter of preference--she's not physically capable anymore.

The best you can even possibly hope for is a note from someone close to her telling you that they'll make her aware of what you had to say, but her signing a picture TTM will never happen. Ever.
I think you made your point

Sent a letter, photo and SASE on November 1, 2014 and today I received a note back saying that Lee no longer signs. I knew it was a long shot. Will not post address out of respect to her but it was a PO Box in Monroeville, Alabama.
