Hey,

new here and to auto collecting too. I sent my request off to Mr. Tennant last week... to his agency. Hey ho. But he seems brilliantly generous and I don't mind waiting at all-- he doesn't have to sign. I'm a big Who fan so it'll be brilliant when it arrives.

BTW... I think he might have meant: 'Please do not bend'? Me? Why not? :) :)

cheers,
sf

According to http://www1.auspost.com.au/international/, the fastest service from Australia to UK is 3-4 work days. That's Express Courier International. Express Post International is 4 work days, Air Mail is 4-5 work days, Registered Post International is also 4-5 work days (costs less than Air Mail because there's no insurance). If you sent now (and included 2-3 IRCs of course for the return journey) it should have plenty of time to get here before the play ends in November. Even if it doesn't make it, which it should, I'm sure your request will be forwarded on by the theatre should it arrive late (either to his agent or to the next VV theatre).

David would probably love to hear from someone in Australia too, he's always wanted to go there!

While yes, he's not filming, he's doing 6 shows a week (some weeks more, what with matinees) and rehearsing during the day. It's not like this is time off for him :) We should all be careful not to send too many requests, lest we be too greedy.
You made such a great point, we should by all means write to him, but not send hundreds of things to him, or Patrick to sign.

I would say as a rule of thumb, 2 as a max. Yes we could just send and send, but what about the others after us, it's good to give them the pleasure of receiving an authentic autograph.

Oh by the way, if you send to him and you live in the UK, he will answer you within 5 days, so if you work on this, that would mean, if you're sending from the US, your answer will be in 9-12 days. No bad at all really. :D :) 8) :lol: {thumb2} {up}

All the best to everyone who sends to David.

Be patient. Although he was initially answering only afetr 2 or 3 days he must be getting a lot more requests now since word has spread of him signed well via venue. Im sure he will do his upmost to reply to them all. Good luck
