Sorry, but this is one of the stupidest autograph related things I've ever heard. How could you consider it a failure? She went out of her way to inscribe it and personalize it to the charity. Of course someone will buy it. Jeez, talk about ungrateful.

It's not such a bad thing - the 'thank you!' is a really personal touch. If they like it, someone will buy, dedication or no dedication.

It's not a failure as such, but defeating the purpose of the request. The autograph was requested by Shaun to raise money for charity, but it would raise more money for the charity and be easier to sell had it not been dedicated like this.

Why on earth is that a failure? She signed it and even wrote which charity, I'm not seeing the problem.
