Some celebs gets so much fanmail that they don't bother with it , for example Monroe got 1000s of letters a month.

In general it's better to write to B or C-celebs or retired stars as they have a lot more time to sign.

This may have no place here- but i've been in the presence of his daughter Brice Dallas Howard twice in person... and found her to be incredibly weird/odd/creepy/offputting/different/really really weird.

ive met him in person at a Lakers game. He is not at all a jerk. Will sign for anyone and everyone as long as he has the time. He was very friendly. Even wished my brother in law much luck in his efforts to become a movie director.

Red is pretty standard for envelope instructions - probably because it stands out. Not really what slash marks are or what they're for though. Either way, good luck with your future requests.

That could be - I just wish I had a scanner.I mean, you should see this thing. It's all in red with slash marks all over it. I was like, wow, what's the deal?

Oh, well. On to the next!

I still doubt there's any reason to take it so harshly. I've had a few RTS and that included "Refused" as the reason, in all cases it was just that the celebrity is no longer with that agency, at that address, etc.

Yes, I do imagine it's not him personally, but I would be very, very upset if I knew that my secretary was treating my fans this way. If you don't want to sign, I understand completely. I do not at all believe that it is a celebrity's duty to sign. You don't want to sign? Rip it up, throw it out, whatever.

Refused really is not the same as RTS. Refused means just what it says - they refused to take it.

Could certainly be that he has moved and that whoever is there now is a jerk and wrote that on it.

Ron has been here in Chicago since April & will be until late August filming "Cheaters". Maybe he stopped mail service or management doesn't want to hold a bunch of fanmail while he's not there.

Most current celebrities have no time to answer fanmail. If you ever meet Ron In-Person, he couldn't be any nicer.

He seems nice in interviews but who knows. He hasnt signed ttm since I have collected. I do hold celebrities in higher regard when they actually take the time to open their mail and do the little things to be good to their fans. Since those fans sending pictures are the ones that are watching the movies and keeping these people in business it should be done much more than it is.

Every celeb has a million excuses why they dont sign but in the end they are just unwilling. Peyton Manning signs and hes as busy as any entertainer right now and has a valuable signature (since another common excuse is that their signatures are being put on Ebay)
