If you're writing to actors on a set, and you spread that address around publicly, you can pretty much kiss your chances goodbye. THINK before posting. Do you know how many people join here just to lurk for addresses? Yes, the point is to share, but the catch 22 is that too much sharing destroys it for all of us. If you really want to share it with a couple of people you can trust, and you know REALLY want the address, then at least private message them.

I've been here since 2005 - and the addresses were posted for the world to see - but at that time I believe production office's weren't throwing away fanmail, and they were more relucant to give the letters to the said celebrities - but yes, with ebay & dealer & spamming up the address within days a lot of people do not share any address anymore. Which is sad, yes - but for the people who have worked hard for the address just for to be plasted all over the forums and ends up ruining our chances it's very frustrating.

I agree - name & dates should be good enough and it should be up to the person who posted the thread if they want to give out the address or not.
