All theatres except the New Amsterdam Theatre use Playbills (Mary Poppins uses Showbills).

I think the main difference is the type of advertising used.

Mary Poppins Signed Playbill Success!

On the 14th of January I sent a LOR and SASE to the stage manager of Mary Poppins and today I received a signed playbill in my SASE signed by 20 of the cast! Another great one for the playbill collection - this will be m twelfth! The only thing I would ask is why it says "showbill" at the top when all the rest say "playbill"?
