The envelope I write Sir Anthony Hopkins, yes, I know. But, the letter, what I write "Dear Sir (no name)" or "Dear Sir Mr. Hopkins" or "Dear Sir Hopkins"? I don't know, what I write? I know always "Dear Mr. oder Mrs.". But "Sir", I don't know??? I hope you understand.
Say "Dear Mr Hopkins" or "Dear Sir Anthony Hopkins" its OK, whatever you put there is no etiquette.
