June 3, 2013: I sent a letter, one 4x6 photo and a SASE to the venue of
"The Hobbit" (Valid until the last week of July for most of the cast)
Today
(July 3, 2013), I received my photo back signed and personalized in my SASE, along with a typed letter from John Callen which was also signed!

I was seriously not expecting a letter! I've never received an actual letter from an actor before. Only a note on the photos. I thought it was really sweet.
Plus, he included a thin piece of cardboard, put tape to seal the envelope and wrote his agency's address as the return address on the back.
