I think he was probably doing pre-signed ones because he was away doing The Hobbit, and couldn't be there to sign ones that came through his agency. Chances are, he'll resume signing photos sent to him soon. And I think it's epic that you got him!!!! Congrats!!! He's one of my favorites, and I'll be trying him very soon!

Now I have Thorin! My photo came back from Richard Armitage today... I was really hoping to get him through the set, since he doesn't appear to sign photos through his agency anymore, only send out pre-signed. Unfortunately, he made the often-heartbreaking mistake of slipping the photo back into the envelope without letting a silver marker dry properly. Luckily, though, the photo just stuck to the envelope instead of smudging -- so, my photo is just signed by a rather light silver signature rather than an indistinct mass of silver smudge. It's not ideal, but it actually doesn't look too bad (certainly I've gotten smudged photos back that were much, much worse) so this is definitely a victory for me! Now, since I'm pretty sure I'm just waiting on the "sorry he couldn't sign" letter from Martin Freeman, I'm just really waiting for Ken Stott and William Kircher from the set. (Unless PJ has a second to spare that he chooses to use to sign a couple of photos, but I'm not really expecting that at all.)
