The letter I read didn't say anything about requiring a $30 donation. And I read the letter you posted.
I read that they required a donation, with the suggested amount as $20/Playbill.
Suggested amount=/=Required amount. Not to mention that, in addition to mixing up the words "suggested" and "required", you got the amount wrong.
