I agree, I have seen many autnetic examples of Lucas signature too, not a single one have looked even close like the one the OP got, in my opinion it is a sec.

Congrats on the success. I am not expert on his signature, but i also also jealous if it is real. i am a HUGE star wars fan, and would love to add his autograph to my SW wall of fame. enjoy it, cause it is rare indeed to get something like that. {up}

I was one of the last people standing closer to where his car was.. by the time he got to me they were hurrying him to his car.n i only am thinking its real cause I have found some of autographs on the internet that look like mine and why would they even send anything back if he wasnt in NY. I would think they would just throw it if he had left for California. I should also say that the letter is postmarked from NY 10012 which is the zip code of the Mercer Hotel

I'm not saying it is real but from my research I believe that it is very possible it is 100% authentic. It doesn't take much research to find examples of known authentic autographs of George Lucas and I emphasize the "S" at the end of autographs because there are at least 2 or 3 different styles of known authentic autographs. I have seen some that look very close to this one. It took no time at all for me to reach that totally non bias conclusion. So to me, the people who jump right out and say it's not authentic or even say it doesn't look right, totally sounds like an anterior motive like "jealousy" or "hating" because it looks very very close to known authentic signatures. And this paired with the story behind it leads to even more credibility that it is indeed authentic. Again, I cannot say for fact that it is authentic but in my opinion anyone who says it is not authentic or that it "doesn't look right" seems to have a very obvious anterior motive for saying so because I see no evidence that points this towards being not authentic.

Anyways, Congrats on your success {up} I think you have something very special there and it sounds like you enjoyed your whole experience a lot!
