Over the summer months I wrote to Valerie Harper as she was appearing in Maine as part of a play. A few days into the play Ms. Harper became quite sick and was not expected to live, this week I received a handwritten note and several index cards thanking me for my letter. I was very happy with the response I never figured I would hear anything.
