Signed by Lea Michelle and Jonathan Groff, who star in the show's two leads, along with the rest of the cast. Unfortunately, Groff + Lea left on that date I believe, and are both no longer part of Spring Awakening.

Spring Awakening is a musical based off of an old German play, which surrounds German teens and their discovery of .... . The musical won the Tony Award for Best Musical of the 2006-2007 season, last year, among a few other awards. The show has been noted for it's onstage seating, controversary regarding "things" done on stage, giving it a "mature" rating, and an exceptionally young cast, compromising of many in the age ranges of 17-22. Spring Awakening has been compared by some as the new "Rent". The show began seven years ago, with Lea Michelle still in the lead role, and following it in every incarnation to date. The show played Off-Broadway before reaching Broadway in the summer of 2006.
