Curtains has been one of the "unreliable" ones in terms of cast-signed TTM. I haven't really seen too many successes, so the stage manager must be busy or something?! Or maybe they don't have a lot of them "laying around" because most people that I know have written to DHP himself or Karen Ziemba or Debra Monk. Who knows, best of luck to you! But if you don't get it soon and you really do want one you might want to re-send because they are closing June 29!

I just love getting playbills. Alas, I live in Canada, and sometimes it takes longer and sometimes I never get anything back. Worse comes when I don't get anything back and the play closes. I really hope I get something from the Curtains venue in the next few days or I will send again.

Now I want to get serious with playbill collecting so I will probably order a few binders to store them in and perhaps get myself a few playbill memorabilia. I am currently really wanting from three locations to tell you the truth. From "Thurgood", "The Country Girl" and "Legally Blonde". I doubt I will get anything from "The Country Girl" as Morgan Freeman does not sign much and is also on tour to promote his movies. I hope I get Thurgood and/or Legally Blonde. haha, now I wish I worked there :D

Btw, what do recommend in terms of writing to Broadway considering the rate of successes for me lol

and Yeah, I shall PM ya about ticket sales closer to when I expect to get to NYC. Id love to see the shows, especially "All My Sons" and "Speed-The-Plow" when they do start up

I like collecting playbills and plan on buying a few unsigned off ebay. I really want a Curtains playbill signed. How they send me one in the next couple of days, and also the Les Liaisons Dangeruses. I just can't wait. I also sent to Legally Blonde the Musical. That I want the most as Laura Bell Bundy is truely amazing!
Laura Bell Bundy is the life of that show. And Kate Shindle is a nice add-on to her. I don't know where that show would be without Laura Bell for sure. That reality girl better be good or .........................................!
quite, I just hope they close the show than replace Laura. They will change everything from the playbills to the posters, as it carries Laura's pic I believe, if I am not mistaken. I honestly don't see the show moving anywhere without her, or well, not as what it would have been when it started anyways.

but yeah, Broadway is lovely. I so want to go to NYC now to watch a few of them. Haha...a few of them....thats like $500 alone LOL

You collect playbills too?
Yes I do...check out the thread in the Autograph Collector's part of the site!

And I love Broadway a lot as well. I really wish I could get up there more too and I'm thinking baout just going by myself now because my friends & family are getting tired of it . And PM me about Ticket Sales! It may be of interest to you!

And for the record, if anyone watches the Legally Blonde: The Musical: Search for the Next Elle Woods on MTV....a familiar face appears with the Dracula Playbill. ........!!!!!!!!!!!!! Something MTV wouldn't want you to know!

thats what I thought. But if it is opening night, you just got an amazing gift mate LOL
Nah the Playbill store just likes to trick people ;-). Do you really think anyone would want to put a sticker on 500++ playbills and then get rid of htem all by the next day!? Haha I wouldn't! You can usually find opening night playbills on ebay for much cheaper. I've actually bought two playbills off of ebay for reasons unknown!? I just kidn of did it for my collection but I bought Jekyll & HYDE one for $3 and I got it and it was opening night! (See below!).

To see if you have an opening night playbil just go to the page where it says like
"DAVID HYDE PIERCE DEBRA MONK
in
CURTAINS
Starring:
hghgjh"

And look at the very top of that page it says the opening date. If it doesn't, then it's not an opening night playbill. Playbill.com will always give you an opening night playbill, but they just tack a sticker on it and put it in some fancy shipping thing.

Examples:

Image

The first one is the Curtains one I got today, followed by: Dracula, The Musical; Les Liaisons Dangeruses...(Which I actually received through the mail recently as well!); Jekyll & HYDE: The Musical; and the last one is Curtains, which I received from David Hyde Pierce a few weeks ago, with as you can see nothing at the top.

Those were just a few I checked...I wouldn't be suprised if I had more, but probably unsigned.

Check yours! They may be more valuable then you think!
