Hey everyone -

I got my facts mixed up, June is actually his stepmother, and has been worldwide director of his fanclub since 1979. Google 'June Travolta off limits west word' {up}

I did some more research, and there is a woman who lives in Santa Barbara, California named June Travolta. And she is 82 years old. But there is nothing to link her to John.

I find it hard to believe that an 82 year old woman can keep up with the thousands of pieces of mail John receives on a regular basis.

According to the two links I was able to find on John he doesn't have a sister named June. If you access the two links in the post above you'll see what I mean.

If you have another link I can look at that mentions June I'd love to see it. I would like to know who this June person is. Is she and aunt? A cousin? :?

Yes, I was aware that his agency replies were secretarial but I didn't think he would go so far as to send his vv requests back to his agency to get his sister to sign them. That was why I deliberately avoided sending to the agency but tried him VV.

I have to say I am extremely disappointed. How many people send to VV anyway? Is it really so many that they can't take a few minutes to sign them?

I was just reading on some web page---don't know who came up with this info---that Travolta is on the list of ten best signers. They obviously aren't referring to VV! Or ttm. And Will Ferrell was on the list of ten worst signers!

This last VV response from Mr. Ferrell has been the best I have seen yet. He has really gone out of his way on this one. He is reading the letters and commenting on them in his inscriptions, sending extra copies of his own photos and personalizing each one to each kid in the family, sending little bags of almonds along as a joke to match the inscription. He is the best signer I have seen so far.

Maybe they were referring to him in person. But I have a really hard time believing that someone that is so extremely awesome in his responses ttm would be the complete opposite in person. It just doesn't gel.

Yes, I was looking at a LOT of his IP on the net and the end of Travolta is more loopy. The loops having a very horizontal appearance. The end of Travolta in mine matches his sister's extremely well. I have even come across an autograph that looked exactly like the way his sister signs Travolta except for the T at the beginning. It was exactly the same! Unbelieveable! And people are selling these as authentic. All people have to do is compare it to IP and the difference is obvious. Even taking into account that IP can be abbreviated and rushed it's still is obvious it's not the same.

I agree completely! If he's too busy to sign then okay, don't. Yes I'll be disappointed but that's all part of collecting. If you are going to send something don't make it a secretarial. Send a PP, or AP. I wouldn't want those either, but at least they aren't a fake autograph, they are copies of HIS autograph.
I think it's so sad, when a load of actors, are only to happy to send you an authentic, VV it's quite a funny thing really as some celebs are almost impossible TTM, but these same stars will be happy to sign hundreds VV, I nearly fallen of my seat sometimes, when I hear of some who sign VV, even I had a good few {thumb2} :D :) 8)

CDolan, there is definitely a June in his family. She's his step-mother..

Good Question!

I never even thought about it until you asked. I thought I would see what I could find out about his family, and so far I have seen this:

http://au.movies.yahoo.com/John+Travolt ... 28/family/

http://www.tiscali.co.uk/entertainment/ ... _biog.html

Just who is June Travolta? :?

Does anyone know if 'June Travolta' is a real person? I did some research, and I can't find anyone in his family named 'June'. I'm thinking the secretary may have taken the pen-name Travolta to make herself look like she's related to John, in order to make people she's replying to think she's 'official'.

Hi nightowl :D

Sorry for your disappointment :?

I also tried him VV whist he was filming Hairspray in Canada only to have them sent back postmarked from Santa Barbara CA. You can have a look here. It makes the success very suspicious in terms of authenticity, which is the same in your case now.

I guess the best (and safest) bet would be to meet him in person  Anyway, good luck with your future requests!
