Yes, indeed! This makes a lot of sense.

I have a great mind to write at least 2-3 pages but there is always this bad feeling of unsureness whether the celebrity takes the time to read it carefully or if he just scans it without reading a single word :( . Too bad that you don't know before writing!

Thank you so much for your opinions!

It probably depends on who you write to, but usually the 'rule' is to send nothing over 1 page.
Considering some celebrities get 1000's of fanmail letters every month, most of them will only glance over your letter briefly. They don't have time to read 8 page letters like some people write. Then again, some lesser known celebrities might enjoy an 8 page letter, and will take the time to read the whole thing. So it really depends on who you write to.

When I wrote to the Jonas Brothers via-venue on their last tour, my letter was four pages I think. I couldn't stop writing!
haha
A couple weeks later I got a nice autographed picture that they sent on their day off.

so i guess it depends on what you want to do!

Length of a letter depends on location?

Hello!

I was just wondering if there could be any differences between sending a letter to a celebrity's agency or via venue, concerning its length?

In other words:
Is it likely that celebrities have more time at their venue than at their agency maybe because they don't get that much fan mail? So if this was right would it be possible to write longer letters when sending via venue since the celebrity has more time to read it???

Would be interesting to know!

In addition:
I have already read that a letter shouldn't be that long and that you should keep it to one page. But what is a "long" letter. If you write one page handwritten it is less than a typed one. So maybe there is a rule-of-thumb how many words you should write maximal!?
