I didn't know that auto Ive writen loads with out adding that =(

Johnny's fan. What I do is write even if I know they wont read it. If I was a celeb I would have a sample delivered to me a month so like 20 letters to have a nosey at and feel good about my own work, and in my opinion I think a few do that. So you never know. {love} It's always worth writing that little bit more.

Intrestingly, on the BBC website, for torchwood, and some other shows, it asks you to add those very words, when writing to one of the stars for an autograph.

Hey there! :)

Thanks for the advice. I wasn't too sure myself but I read somewhere else on here that you should put that, and I just wasn't really sure if it was needed.

I'm kinda hoping most of the people I send requests to will want to read what I send anyway. And you're probably right about any nasty letters. I would employ someone just to check that! Reading an insulting letter over breakfast would not be a good thing to happen.

Thanks again {thumb2}

Hi johnny's fan

To tell you the truth..

Some people take for example David Tennant, his PA opens all fanmail and then they take a pre signed item they put your name at the top and send it back to you.

Other like Bernard cribbings I get the impression he reads fanmail.

But im sure all PA's open mail, I think some check for if someones sent them something nasty and rude etc.

In a nutshell I dont see no point in writing private and personal on the letter, sorry :(

Should you always add that when you send a request to people or not? Do the agents at the other end ignore anything with P&P on it and pass it on directly to the person who's autograph you want?

I can't really remember what I used to do when I wrote to people.
