Good idea to put it in plastic sleeve and then frame it?

As Guilder1st stated, as long as the glass isn't touching the photo surface it should protect them. I personally frame most of my stuff- autographs and signed jerseys and the such. If you do frame them though, I recommend you: 1. use a high quality acid free mat (as this eliminates the surface from touching the glass) and 2. if possible, use a UV coated glass (or plexi can be a little more durable) which will cut down on the paper breaking down due to sun exposure> which leads me into the last point of keeping things out of direct sunlight (not directly across from a window for example).

There's a few different opinions about that, but I think as long as the glass isn't actually touching the autograph you should be safe. Just make sure it doesn't hang in the sun or anywhere where there is a lot of moisture as this could damage your autograph.
Really the best way to protect your autograph is to use acid free plastic sleeves and put it in a binder. It's not as much fun to look at though. ;)
