WTF :shock: :shock: :shock: {down} Do you know who did this? And have they/he/she said anything to it?! I mean, I would never ever think of doing something like that. My mother once accidentally opened one of my letters and apologized a thousand times. She felt really uncomfortable when she told me although I'm "only" her daughter... :?

You could ask them to put it under the doormat ;-)

you can get a box that is bigg enough to fit the largest type of mail, cut off the top part (the lide or whatever) , write "PUT MAIL IN HERE!" on the sides of the box with clear, noticeable, and readable writing and ink and leave it ouside near your doorstep so that when the mailman comes along, they will see it and put mail in the box. I don't know if that will work but just try it. but make sure nobody takes it though.

Thanks for the responses. I guess it's up to me. I could always get one of those cheap fake security cameras to scare my neighbors away!

Well i guess im lucky here. Our Mailbox is quite small as well but after i complained about getting some of my mail bent badly the Postie started leaving some of my bigger envelopes at my doorstep, only thing is he placed them under the doormatt so they were out of plain sight. Nice guy always really helpful

I wouldnt dare do that here, I leave my kids bike in the front garden its gone in 30 seconds, Ive had huge packages left next door and they've opened to have a look at it :neutral: also an Xmas hamper they signed for and ate half the food, and my Xbox 360 they opened and had a play before giving it to me (which they wouldnt if i didnt know they had it) :? :?

Find someone you trust on the street and leave a note to leave with them if all else fails, put a plastic box or something hidden near the house and tell them to leave it in that out of sight.

The 88 year old woman across the road hasnt left her house/garden in 10 years so she takes my packages {love} she is lovely {love} {love}

I've never seen that done before*- so I don't know how successful that'd be. If it's always the same postal worker and has been for a long time, you might try just talking to them one day and asking if they'd be willing to put it in your door.

*I mean writing leave on doorstep

Leaving mail on doorstep?

My mailbox is small and large envelopes end up getting quite bent. Our mail carrier drives to our mailboxes but is really nice and doesn't mind coming to our door to ask for postage or other things. Do you think it would it be ok to put something like "Leave on doorstep" on my SASE?
