I have the same problem. There is nowhere around here that sells them, and I'm not even 100% sure they are of any use when they get to their destination.

What I do is go to the PO and buy dollars. I have never had a problem with sending dollars to the US (just don't tell them you're sending money, if you wrap it in the letter so no-one can see it, you should be OK). None have gone missing so far and the recipients have obviously used the money to buy the stamps.

I have the same problem..but the US doesn't sell them anymore..at least I don't think any post offices in the US sells them anymore..What I do is trade or buy off from other users here and it's much cheaper than eBay. They charge you like $5 + shipping on eBay.

If you can't buy them, then try sending a letter out without one and wait until it comes back, if it comes back, then start sending out more.

I actually only used an IRC 3 times, all three came back FAST but I still get autographs without the IRCs.

I am really enjoying writing to celebs in Ireland and England but would love to write to other celebs in US. I've searched and asked in many post offices near by me and none of them do IRC. They haven't for years. So I don't know what to do now. Anyone here with the same problem ?
