Hi there. :) I don't think there is anything wrong with asking for personalization. As Liz said, it shows the celebrity you're not going to sell it. At the end of the letter just kindly say something along the lines, "If it's not too much, could I have your autograph, and possibly have it personalized to ___?"" ;-)

There's absolutely nothing wrong with asking for a personalisation. {thumb2} I always ask for it for a few reasons - I think some celebrities would be glad to personalise so they know you don't want to sell it, and that you're a real fan and not just want their autograph for your collection. You can look at this topic where this has been discussed. :)

Good luck!

I've never thought of it that way - good point!! {thumb2}

I used to always ask for them to be personalised. After asking if they could please send me their autograph, I'd say "If this is possible, is there any chance you could sign it 'To Hayley'?"
But I no longer ask as so many celebrities (pretty much all the Americans) spelt it wrong, they all spelt it 'Haley', so I feel this ruins the autograph as it feels like it is not really for me because it has someone elses name written on it!
So yeah, you can ask for it personalised, there is nothing wrong with that, but I no longer do! :lol:

Most celebrities like to personalize photos. That way they know it's for you. Many celebs only sign that way IP too.

You can but I suggest you shouldn't. I usually just ask them if they can please send me their autographs and they mostly just personalize it.

Hi again NDfan17 :mrgreen: ,

I always ask for the celebrity to personalize the autograph for me :D .

Not rude at all to ask in my opinion. Remember to say please and say you understand if they can't and are happy for just the autograph.
I think in my last request I worded it like "...so I come to ask as a humble fan, if you could could please send me an autographed picture?
Could you also please sign it to "Michael" or something of that nature? I understand if you are too busy and I would still be very grateful if you don't...
"

Now keep in mind that I sent that request to someone who is "older," so to a younger star maybe a bit less wordy.
