Just remember to keep the letter reasonably short (no more than 1 page) and to write what comes naturally (e.g. what you have enjoyed about his work, why this is so).

Whatever you do, don't make it sound like you've written a form letter where you've literally "filled in the blanks". Make it sound like you've written specifically to him as you are a fan.

I sent Rob Pattinson a request letter a few days ago, along with a few others...
All of the LORs that I sent them was handwritten on A5.. so it's not too long as they get loads of fanmail everyday... Just introduce yourself briefly.. 2-3 lines should do it.
Then say what you like about them eg. "I'm a huge fan of your movies, especially _________ " etc etc. And then ask for an autograph... "I was wondering if it would be possible if.."
And then I thank them and wish them luck in their careers

Basically, make it sound personal, a real fan. don't try to make it like it's the same letter you send to everyone and only altering the names.

Hope this helps :) gd luck!

When I wrote to Robert I talked about how much I loved him in his other movies ( not so much Twilight; he's probably sick of hearing that.) I also told him how excited I was to see his other movies coming out next year. My advice would be try not to sound to fan girlish but still complement his work :D Hes great too his fans.

Write what you admire about the person, what about their work you like, and maybe a little something about you. Just be natural, write from the heart - it'll be *your* letter

I would write

Mr./Mrs.____________
My name is __________and im___ years old. I attend_________school in __________, Ontario, Canada. In my spare time I enjoy doing_________,______________,_________________,ect.
I was wonderin , if it isn't too much trouble if you would be able to send me an autogrpahed photo of yourself. I hae recenylt started an autogrpah collection and I would love to add your to my collection. I would not be able to thank you enough.

Sincerely,

"your name"
street
city, province/state
ZIP
country

thsi is a really brief letter. I normally send only to people who i care about and know stuff about. so i wusually ad a middle paragraph about what i like about them and all that jazz.

I hope this helps!!!

What to include in my letter?

I'm about to write my first letter to a celebrity (Robert Pattinson to be precise :D ) and I haven't got a clue what to include in my letter. I don't want to sound stalkerish.
So I was wondering what have you written in your letters which you have sent to celebrities?
Also, what have you done to make it more personal and to show you have taken your time with the letter?

Thanks for the help {up}
