In the past I would send 1-2 IRCs to USA/UK using a large envelope (the standard oversized ones), and always got by with that. Really I think it depends, like Zanne stated.

IRC's are the same worldwide:
1 IRC = standard letter
2-3 IRC's = envelopes bigger than 8x6"

So it depends on what size SAE (Self Addressed Envelope) you're planning to send. {thumb2} You don't [i]have[/i] to send one, but it can increase your chance of getting a reply. :) The best would be to search the feedback received for the person you're planning to send to and then decide what you want to send. {up}

Yes, 1 IRC should cover the costs for a C5 envelopes (A5 sized). {thumb2} I always use just 1 IRC with my C5 SAE and it worked every time.

It depends on the size of the SAE. {up} Generally, if it's [b]smaller than 8x6"[/b], you can send only [b]1 IRC[/b]. Anything [b]bigger[/b], then you would need [b]2-3 IRC's[/b] (3 IRC's for an 8x10" sized envelope). {thumb2}
