I would honestly take it to the post office if you do not know it's weight.
100g is £2.52 to Canada - so 10 second class stamps (27p each).
This is rather heavy - for example, if the item is only 20g it will only cost you 72p, or 30g is £1.22.
You can pay with stamps at the PO - if you want to exchange your second class
