I always put two stamps on the outer envelope-
I send an SASE inside (9x12)
Two pieces of paper

and two stamps on the SASE as well

Yes. A 9X12 that weighs one ounce (about the weight of a 8X10 photo) would cost 0.83. If it weighs more than an ounce, or to be on the safe side, then you would need the $1 stamps.

Well, I use 9 by 12 envelopes. I always send a LOR and a SASE in the envelope. I have not done autograph collecting since 2006, before the US Postal Service redid the entire system. I use to just put 2 stamps on there and be good but now the lady at the post office told me 1 dollar. I did one dollar for all of them except for one SASE because I was running low on stamps. Would 84 cents be enough to cover a 9 by 12 envelope with a 8 by 10 photo? It cant be much more than 1 oz.
