Hi there,

I'm not from Germany/Austria, but I do know that it's definitely normal to write an address that way. {up} Even though you might not know what it says, when your letter arrives there they will certainly know.
Secondly, you can use the following guide taken from the USPS site on how much it costs to send to Austria: http://pe.usps.com/text/imm/ab_013.htm (Just scroll down towards the end of the page where it has "First Class Mail International" written.

Best of Luck!
Larisie :)

Sending USA - Austria

by TheScarletPimpernel » Mon Mar 09, 2009 9:29 pm

Hello!

Wondering if anyone from Austria/Germany/US can help me with this one...

Is it normal to address a letter similar to this?

Gabriela Pfeisinger
c/o VEREINIGTE BÜHNEN WIEN GmbH.
Linke Wienzeile 6
1060 Wien
Austria

I don't know WHAT that says, but it was an address I picked up from Ms. Pfeisinger -- she is an agent for someone I'm attempting to write to!

Also, how much is it from AUSTRIA to US?

Can it be assumed US - Austria is the normal 94c?

Thanks for the help in advance!
