For US stamps on the SASE you will need at least 0.94 in stamps depending how much it weighs.

I am not very good with English sizes for envelopes but as long as the envelope is not large, you don't have to use the 'large envelope' price.

Let me know if you need more help. {up}

So just that 1 stamp for the SSAE sent back to england? Can i buy those stamps from that website with UK pounds or could i pay by dollars from england?

The C5 envelope i mentioned is 22.9cm in width and 16.2cm (Around 6x8inches) I think :neutral:

Sorry for all the questions
I don't mind questions. :D

That size envelope won't need the extra stamps so all you need is 0.94.

Yes, the dollar stamps will cover what you need.

I know some overseas members have had trouble ordering online at the USPS site, but I think if you call you can order. I have no idea how you pay--probably credit card.

Hope that helped. {thumb2}

Thanks for your help both of you :)
I understand it much more now :)

Just one more question though: Do you have to take your letter to the post office for it to be sent to the us or can you just post your letter in a post box?

No, I meant the envelope that goes to America is the one with the pre-paid label on it. The envelope to be returned to me (the SAE), is empty for them to put the stamps on. I think I may have misunderstood the original question.

Well I do research a lot before I send anything out, and so far, I don't seem to have picked a celebrity that is fussy. I didn't send any stamps or money to Geoffrey Rush or David Wenham and they were as nice as anything. I think sometimes people can presume the celebs want this or prefer that, but I'm sure a lot of them are OK with whatever you can send them. :D

When I send request to America, I always include 2-3 dollars in the envelope to cover the postage that they will need to send it back to me.

When I send things off to America etc, I take it into the post office to get weighed, and the Post Office worker will put a pre-paid label on it, so there are no stamps required. And then you just pay whatever is on the label.

It's not everybody's way of doing it, but it has worked fine for me. ;-)
I have seen that sometimes sending prepaid on the envelope is not the best, since if the celeb decides to send back more than the items you sent, your envelope will not have enough money on it and also, sending money usually isnt the best idea since sometimes celebrities only send with SASE. easiest to do, money. SAFEST AND BEST IDEA TO DO, US stamps.

Ive got a couple of questions that Id like someone to answer for me please:

1) Are IRCs or Stamps better to send requests back to me?
2) Where can I buy US stamps from the UK? If its from here: http://shop.usps.com/webapp/wcs/stores/ ... gory=11820 which stamps do i buy?
3) How many US stamps are needed for a C5 envelope?
4) Once i have my letter ready, do i take it to the post office and include my own stamps for it to be sent to the US?
Thanks for any help you can give me {up}

1. Stamps give you a larger chance in the US for you to get something back from.
2. go to USPS.COM and search forever stamps. Those are the best because they go up with the price of stamps which is why they are called forever. When the price is 42 cents, they cost 42 cents, but if the price goes up, to, lets say, 44 cents the forever stamps then are worth 44 cents so you spend less money and iff this celeb takes a long time to reply, they could end up not having enough postage to send it back to you.
3.i would put 2-4 stamps on
4.Use UK stamps to send to the US and US stamps on your SASE.

HOPE THIS HELPS!
