Ah, I thought he did sign as someone on the Nottingham thread said he only signed via venue.

I also heard that Cate Blanchett did sign via venue, but I suppose it can always be hit and miss when you send to a film set, as they may or may not be there, or they may or may not hold the item until they arrive or return.

I suppose the best thing you could do, is try to get more than one copy of the book. Especially if you can buy them cheap off eBay, then if the worst comes to worst and they don't return it, you still have your book.

No. If they don't sign it, sometimes it's just never returned. I've lost books (not many, but at least 4) that way. I've also lost CD booklets, and DVD covers.

The best rule in Autograph collecting is to only send what you're willing to lose.

No. It all depends on the person but most people won't return it if they don't sign.

Some advice, don't ever send something that you would be heartbroken if you don't get it back.

So you know - I have never seen a Russell Crowe autograph through the mail.

And I've tried Blanchett twice Via Venue with no success. She can be hit or miss.

Thank you again for the help. I do believe I could get UK stamps in our mail offices but am not sure. I think so though, I know we can get american and it would makes sense to be able to get UK stamps here as we are both British-ish.

Well there is a thread for addres for Nottingham in the Via Venua request thread section, I myself am waiting for a UK address (I'm pretty new to this VV lark, so I don't have a clue how to find it myself), which hopefully someone who knows these things better than me, will post the information soon.

I'm not quite sure how you would go about getting two signatures, unless you wrote a letter to Cate Blanchett and included the book in the parcel, and then at the end of that letter ask her to pass it onto Russell Crowe, along with another letter addressed to him. Maybe someone else could help you with that.

But you will definitely need to have the correct amount of postage for the return journey, and perhaps package it in a box, which is then inside a box, so they can use the interior box (the one with your own address on it) for them to return. That's really the only way I can think of doing it, or should I say it is what I would do.

After all, Nottingham is a movie both Blanchett and Crowe are in I could grab 2. Also, I am from Canada so I need to know what else I'd need to include to make this all go down smoothly. I think Mr. Rush would be more than happy to write where you like him to, as long as you let him know, I'm sure that would not be a problem. He seems to be very nice to his fans. He even paid for the postage on mine, although if I was sending a book, I would definitely make sure I send enough money or stamps if I could get them.

Apparently, Cate Blanchett does sign via venue, and "Nottingham" is due to begin filming in the UK in April, so maybe you could get her to sign it first, and then if you didn't get it back, at least you wouldn't be losing Geoffrey Rush's autograph as well.
