Anyway, for those who have had success--I'd like to know--what did you write in your letter or send in order to get success? Did you make it stand out from the others?
hi Sandlerfan,

Normally in my request letters, I'll first state where I am from. Then saying a bit why I like the celebrity, and ask for autograph politely at the end. I usually won't make the letter too long, or it will distribute the celebrities. Of course, you can develope your own way of writing letters! :mrgreen:

For the stand out question, I personally tends to use colorful envelopes, and sometimes include small gifts to celebrities that I really really like. But I think it won't increase your chances of getting your autographs a lot. I didn't send gifts to increase my opportunity, but to show my support to him/her.

Hope this will be helpful to you :D

When I send LORs, I put my age in because I'm relatively young (16) and I feel like that may help me stand out. You don't have to put your age, maybe just something interesting about yourself.

I usually say,

Dear Mr./Ms. [celebrity's last name],

My name is [your first name] and I am [age] years old. [Show/Movie/Band celebrity is in] is one of my favorite [shows/movies/bands] and I really enjoy your work in it. [If you can, mention two projects.] If it's not too much trouble, could you do me a favor and please send me an autographed picture? I would cherish it forever. Thanks so much in advance!

Sincerely,
[your full name]

Now that's just what I do, you don't have to follow it exactly. You don't even have to follow it at all. :razz:

Hey Sandlerfan! :mrgreen:

Unfortunately if you sent a request to Al Pacino you'll get (or most likely to get) a secretarial if you're OK with that, then you can send to him {up} You can also check out fanmail.biz's list of celebrities believed to send out secretarials :)

For Jack Nicholson, you can do your research but from what I know he sends preprints you can check out these feedbacks for him :razz:

EastendersFan told you all you need to know about the request letter {up} For some suggestions on how people decorate their letters/make them stand out from others etc. you can check out this topic

Good luck! {thumb2}

Hello, welcome to fanmail.biz and welcome to autograph collecting {thumb2}

Ive never sent to those people before but for general people who you want to write too you can set it out a bit like this:

1) Introduce yourself, tell them a bit about you.
2) Tell them about them. Why do you like them? Whats your favourite song of theres? Whats your favourite album? Whats your favourite film they have been in? What makes them special? Theres endless things you can tell them about why you are a fan.
3) Request an autograph but remember to be polite. Mention you have a ssae so the autograph can be sent back to you.
4) Conclude the letter. Perhaps say 'Keep up the great work and best wishes for the future'

To make the letter stand out, write on coloured paper, perhaps use stickers and write certain parts in coloured pens.

You need to put a letter, and a SSAE (stamped self addressed envelope) in your envelope. If your sending overseas you will have to buy foreign stamps or IRCs (international reply coupons)

Feel free to ask any more questions or just PM me.
Good Luck {up}

Hello Sandlerfan and welcome to Fanmail.biz!

I've never sent to Al Pachino or Jack Nicholson so I'm not much help to you but I would make my letter stand out if I was you, I'm not sure if Pachino and Nicholson sign authentically TTM, maybe you could use the searchbar to find out.

Good Luck Collecting! {thumb2}

I'm new to autograph collecting, I'm going to try Al Pacino next and somehow find a way to get Jack Nicholson's (I have an Adam Sandler PP, it's still pretty cool though :) ).

Anyway, for those who have had success--I'd like to know--what did you write in your letter or send in order to get success? Did you make it stand out from the others?
