Yes just the normal index cards you buy from a supermarket or stationary shop. A lot of people do send index cards. It is so much cheaper than sending pictures, and if you like the look of autographs on them then that's perfect. You can also use a smaller SASE to save you on postage
I know there are some celebrities who refuse to sign index cards though.
For me personally, I used to send an index card when I first started collecting, but I would always ask in my letter if the celebrity could please send me a signed picture, but I had enclosed an index card just in case. I always received back a signed picture and never my index card, I used to just include one to be on the safe side. So you could always do what I did, unless you do actually like the look of signed index cards like some people. But now I just send my own photo's for them to sign unless I know they send out one that I would like
