I suppose you could send it in a normal A4 one but I would use a padded one just for extra protection.
It's also quite a fair bit cheaper to send it in a normal A4.

I just weighed one of my liverpool tops, it's roughly 150g, yours is probably a similar weight.

I would say that 6 first class stamps on each packet would be more than enough. I take it you'll be sending all of this as a package (in a padded envelope), not in your normal A4 envelope??



6 first class stamps are worth £2.34, your shirt probably weighs about 115g plus the letter and the envelope I'd say all amounts to about 120g so your 6 first class should be fine.
According to the Royal Mail price finder section, a package weighing 120g would cost £1.62 to send first class.

Thanks for all your help. I can't really get to my nearest post office right now, so I'm gonna have to send it with 1st class stamps. My package will consist of, football shirt, return envelope and letter, so I'm hoping it won't weigh too much, seeing how lightweight they make football shirts nowadays. Do you think 5-6 stamps on both envelopes will cover it? I don't want to take any risks.

Depends how heavy your package is and what type of postage you want on it. The best thing to do is to go to your nearest post office and they'll weigh it and give you an exact amount for sending it and for return postage too.

Make sure you send some stamps so they don't have to pay to return the shirt!

I am quite eager to send my Newcastle United football shirt to be signed. I was just wondering how many 1st class english stamps I would have to put on the SASE, and roughly how much it would cost.
