I would use three large letter stamps which are available from the Royal Mail shop - if you need any PM me and I would be happy to assist.
Howver, I would recommend using a £1 stamp and a 5p stamp which should also be available online.

The terms "first class", "second class", "large letter" and "letter" stamps aren't applicable for Overseas mail :) They are only for internal mail, as in a First Class stamp will get your letter to its destination in one day, using either a regular stamp or a "large letter" stamp, depending on size of the letter. A Second Class will get there in 2-3 days.

For international mail, the only thing you need to worry about is the price, in this case £1.05. You can use any combination of stamps (class or unclassed) as long as it covers this price. Simply stick your stamps on, and write "Par Avion - By Airmail" on the top left corner.

You can get unclassed stamps in many denominations e.g. £1, 50p, 20p, 5p, 2p, 1p. As classed stamps are easier to come by, I'll list the prices of them for you :)

1st Class Regular - 39p
1st Class Large - 61p
2nd Class Regular - 30p
2nd Class Large - 47p

Hi 19Gadell92,

Large letter stamps are now worth £0.62, so if you have found that you need £1.05 for your SASE, you will need 2 large letter stamps for your envelope.

Best of luck with your request! {thumb2}

I can give you advice which isnt probably that accurate or necessery right.

If a large 1st class stamp is 48p(cant seem to find a price list. Its 48p or 52p im sure) and it will cost you £1.05 then i think you need 3 large 1st class stamps {thumb2}

Dont send your letter off until you check with someone though. Like i said im just giving it a bit of thought {thumb2}

U.K Large Letter Stamps

by 19Gadell92 » Fri May 22, 2009 8:38 pm

Hi :D
I'm going to send to a venue in the U.K, and my SASE will probably weigh no more than 50grams. It says on Royal Mail that it will cost £1.05 to send it from the U.K to Sweden. Since my envelope is pretty big (A4) I'm thinking of using something called Large Letter stamp, but I can't find anything on how many Large Letter stamps I need to put on my SASE in order for it to 'come back' to me. This is what it says on Royal Mail: "First Class stamps for Large Letters: these are items between 240 and 353 mm in length, 165 and 250 mm wide, and 5 to 25 mm thick, and weighing up to 100 grams. This includes most A4 documents, CDs and magazines." It says nothing about sending overseas. How many Large Letter stamps do I have to put on my SASE for it to come back to Sweden?

Any help is highly appreciated!
