Two IRCs should be sufficient. {up}
Best of luck if you still decide to send out! :D

Thank you for the fast replies, both of you! :D I am going to try to finish my letter and send it tomorrow. But if I cannot send it tomorrow, I think I rather send it via-venue to another of his concerts or use the address on this site, so I am sure that it will get there in time. I did not know that it took from 5 to 8 days before they got it, but at least I know it now! And there is one question I forgot to ask in my last message, how many IRCs do you think I will need? Will 2 be enough, or do I need more?

Again, thank you so much! :D

Hi there,

Since you live in Norway, I would suggest you send by Monday at the latest. Can't guarantee it will arrive in time though as it will take up to 7 days to get here. I would say anywhere from 5-7 days. Be sure to write somewhere on your envelope "Please hold for John Fogerty concert on June 1" I really do hope it gets there. It's going to be cutting it VERY close, especially since we do not get weekend service.

I would use the following address:

MTS Centre/True North Sports & Entertainment LTD.
260 Hargrave Street
Winnipeg, MB R3C 5S5
Canada

Best of luck!

Sending Via-Venue - a couple of questions

by Luthién » Sun May 24, 2009 6:31 pm

Hi! :mrgreen:

I have never sent fan letters or autograph requests before, but I have been thinking about doing so for a while now. And I have a couple of questions about sending LORs via-venue.

I want to send a LOR to John Fogerty via-venue, but I am not sure about how early I should send it. I saw that he is having a concert at the MTS Centre/ True North Sports & Entertainment Ltd. in Winnipeg (Manitoba, Canada) at the 1st of June 2009. I chose that concert because I read in the topic “Venues that do/don't pass on fanmail” that the MTS Centre do pass on fanmail. Since I live in Norway, I don’t know how early I should send it to be sure that it arrives in time. What do you think?

I am not sure which address to use either, because I found two different addresses at the MTS Centres/ True North Sports & Entertainment Ltd. homepage; one was addressed to the MTS Centre and the other was addressed to the True North Sports & Entertainment Limited. Over the last one the headline was “Administrative Offices”, and it was in another street than the first one. Should I try the first one (the one addressed to the MTC Centre) then? Or do you think it is better to send the LOR to his agency than to send it via-venue?

Thank you! {thumb2}

P.S.: This site is great! :D
