Yeah it's best to send an SASE for all requests. Stamps are what get me sometimes, but It's always worth it when my photos come back signed!! You can always ask your parents or even your grandparents for stamps as birthday & christmas presents. My grandma did this for me.

And yes, a 9x12 envelope requires two .42 cent stamps.

Same! My dad got me 24 2nd class stamps haha

Postage price depends on where it is being sent TO. Like jdp3577 said, 2 Forever stamps will be fine for a US address to another US address. International will need more than that: I think it is at least 1.20 in postage to Europe/Asia.

Would one forever stamp be enough to send a 8x11 envelope back with an autograph?

An SASE would always be the best option, but as others have said: if you can't provide an SASE and SAE is always better than nothing. :) You could also send second class to reduce the price. {thumb2}

Good luck and hope you hear back!

Which is BETTER? The SASE.

BUT, I have also sent SAEs (overseas, for example when I don't have those stamps) if I supplied the photo. And if the celeb signs it and mails it--without a stamp--I'll just pay the fee and have my autograph!

I'd recommend you searching feedback for the people you want and see what they usually do. If they respond to others who sent a SAE, you can be a little more certain. {thumb2}

SASE is always better.

1) Its more polite
2) It saves the celeb time having not to buy stamps and put them on your envelope etc
