Also there is a problem with black Sharpies "bleeding" over time. You should use blue if possible to avoid this.

Ok, thanks. Oh, and it wasn't my choice to do the color since it was ttm. ;) So maybe next time I'll request for it signed in black instead. ;)

I have the same problem. I have a signed baseball in blue that is turning purple around the edges of the signature. When I first got it, it went directly into a case. So...could that just be the same problem?

There is a chance it may have happened when the index card came in contact with oils on your hands. The oils on your hands leave stains on paper after time.

Neither of these things happen over night, so I am stumped why your index card is oxidizing so fast. Sorry that I couldn't help more.

It's turning yellow because of oxidation. Oxidation occurs when the index card comes into contact with air. I don't think there much more I can say. :neutral:

There is a chance it may have happened when the index card came in contact with oils on your hands. The oils on your hands leave stains on paper after time.

Neither of these things happen over night, so I am stumped why your index card is oxidizing so fast. Sorry that I couldn't help more.

I have a signed index card and I put it in an acid free/archival safe sheet protector as soon as I got it and then I put it with the rest of my collection in an acid free/archival safe binder. It hasn't been exposed to light unless I've opened the binder to that page and I don't leave it out or anything so it's not been exposed to weather. The card was a brand new index card right out of the package when I sent it to him. Anyone know how to prevent it from completely turning yellow? This hasn't happened with any of my other autographs, so it's not the binder or the sheet protectors.
