You want to print on photo paper if you can. Is the paper you're talking about photo paper? Or is it regular paper? I'm assuming you mean regular paper by "printing" paper. That paper might be an okay alternative if you can't get photo paper.
Personally, I've been using Kodak Gloss Photo paper. Also, when you print from the computer, you may want to check and see if your printer has an option to print on photo paper and also the option to print "best." That way, you're printer should print in the highest quality it can.
