Hi

Good luck with William Moseley. He kindly signed lots of bits for my auction, and I am sure you will be OK.

If I were you, when you write, I would offer to reimburse the postage costs if he wants you to. In reality it is usually the offer to pay which is important! and it is highly unlikely he will follow it up :wink:

Again, good luck to you!

Well I could, but I've had better successes by including money than just a SAE. Thanks though! :)

You also can send a SAE without IRC

Well, upon searching fanmail.biz I came across this topic. I just wanted to say that most of the time, I try and include IRC's or an SASE with my request, but my post office no longer sells IRC's. So basically what I would do is include an SAE along with like $5 US Dollars. Then I would hide the cash in the folded up letter, and explain to the celebrity that I hope that the money would help cover the return postage. So far, it has worked fairly well for me. I plan to send out a request to William Moseley (Peter in Narnia) but unfortunately, I have not seen feedback from him without IRC's or SASE's. Wish me luck!

Look at this site:

http://www.stefansautographs.ch/

Stefan owned so many autographs. I wrote him an e-mail and he told me, he always sends 2$! I think it's a cheaper way than with IRC. From Germany to USA everybody say (although I can't believe it) it requires 2 IRCs + the normal postage. It would be 5,15 € for ONE autograph!

I really prefer writing to the UK or send only SAE to the US!

Hi trix752 {up}

If you are really sure that you want to send money, it might be a good idea to go to your own bank and change your currency for the currency of the country you are sending to.

However, when you exchange small amounts the commission you are charged will be very high. Switzerland (like the UK :lol: ) have not opted into the Euro system, and the only official currency there are Swiss Francs.

I would really advise you find a post office which will sell you IRCs - in the longrun it will be a lot cheaper for you!

I totally agree with KellyMBel!

If it is in the same country, then yes why not, but if it isn't, check if it uses the same currency as your country.

You could send money, but I highly recommend that you don't especially if you are sending it to a foreign country. Remeber, they have a different form of money and it would cause them to have to go to a bank and its a long process.

HI! Can I send money instead of an IRC? I am planning to write Roger Federer since the email doesn't work. Do you know how much money I should send if I am sending it to Switzerland? {up} :D
