Hi!
In 2007 I asked the same question and here's an answer I got:
IRC's are normally stamped in the box on the left hand side where the initials for your country are. It's not necessarily compulsory (it's optional according the the Universal Postal Union), but I would suggest when you purchase them that you do get them stamped just to be sure.

Many post offices do accept unstamped IRC's, including the USPS (USA), so I don't think you'll have too much of a problem if you have already sent unstamped IRC's.
So I think you don't need to worry much ;)
I have my fingers crossed! :)

IRCS

by OceanBlue » Sat Dec 05, 2009 3:19 pm

I brought 5 IRCS from my post office and sent them to 5 different celebs in US with decent pictures i had professionally done. Ive just realised that the post office didnt stamp the IRCS to make them Valid. So i dont know if they will work, or if i would recieve my requests back.

Please help, im very worried that ive wasted my money because the IRCS are not valid???

The celebs i wrote too dont reply without IRCS. E.g Christian Bale. Slash, Shani Wallis, Daniel Craig (Via Venue), and Jeremy Sumpter.
