I have that problem now, I moved twice in a short time. I have a forwarding address and have gottena couple autograph forwarded to me. But You should be fine for one year after the start to forward your mail, however it can take up to ten days for your mail to start to be forwarded so you wouldn't want to put in for it to start to be forwarded right when you move.

If you put in a change of address with the post office, your mail should be forwarded to your new address for 1 year, after that you're on your own. However sometimes mail doesn't get forwarded to your new address, on occassion the post office will RTS it, or sometimes they'll deliever it anyway to the old address, but they're usually pretty good about catching, just depends on the mail man. Forwarding your mail is free in most areas, however the last time I moved, I'm pretty sure I had to pay $1 fee for the paper work, but it's only a buck and thats the worst case scenario

Hi all,

I'm building a house at the moment and we're supposed to move in in late Feb. I'm worried that if I send a letter to a celeb and include my current address I may miss/not receive the reply if I receive something back. Do you think I would be better off stating my new address, therefore I will hopefully receive it or will the mail not come until we officially move in. If you've had the same experience please let me know.

Thanks :)
