They can be found, but you have to do some digging... Look up the transactions in the PCL and IL web sites for minor league free agents, check the transactions page for the last ML team they played for, and Wikipedia can be of some help too. It may be that some of the MiLB teams have not updated their rosters, which could account for why some players are hard to find.
Here's what I've found so far:
Matt DeSalvo
-pitched in winter league for Toros del Este
-supposedly in the Marlins organization, according to Wikipedia
Ramon Ortiz
-pitched for Fresno Grizzlies in PCL; declared free agency on 11/09/09
Josh Barfield
-was outrighted to AAA Columbus after the end of the 2009 season, according to the Indians web site
Jacque Jones
-played for the independent Newark Bears in 2009
Paul LoDuca
-currently a free agent, according to Wikipedia
