I use board-backed envelopes as my SASE and then just put that inside a regular C4 envelope.

I mailed my last fan letter as a cardboard envelope inside a cardboard envelope.

Or you can use a photo mailer. That's what I do, and although it may cost a bit more to send and receive, it has saved a few of my signed photos a few times. It's worth it and convenient. They are pretty cheap at Walmart.

You can place a piece of sturdy cardboard in the envelope to keep your photos from getting bent. You can request in your letter that the cardboard be placed back in the SASE so they don't get bent on the way back. This will raise postage price a bit, but it's worth it in the end. {up}

Hope this helps!!

How do you guys pack the return envelope so your photo does not get bent on return? Also on going?
Any ideas would be huge.
