following "smanzari" example or....you can do what I do and go to the same comic store and ask them for their Diamond box dividers. When these comic retailers get their orders of comics, their orders inside of the box are divided by fiberboard that they throw away!

No, it doesn't matter. But if you do write it on the envelope, do it in a bright red color so it can catch the eye easier. And I do think it makes a difference, the vast majority of the time.

But then and again, I use a photo mailer. I was just in a Staples store today picking up some 4x6 photo pages and noticed they sell them in packages but failed to note the price or quanity. Might be cheaper than buying them one at a time. After all, if you are going to stick a piece of cardboard in there, I don't think the weight would be that much more going with a photo mailer as the SASE. It gives good protection to the outer envelope as well.

It doesn't matter. Just write "DO NOT BEND" on your SASE but in my experience sometimes it's a waste of time cause some still end up being bent.

haha, I wonder if that'll happen to me. The SASE's I'm sending are folded and placed into another envelope so it could happen. Is a stamp better to use then just writing it on there? Or doesn't it matter?

I have a "DO NOT BEND" stamp that I use all the time. A few years ago I used it on an envelope that came back creased down the middle. Some joker wrote under the stamp, "Again."

Oh i know that nothing will every truly be "bend proof" However, I figured if I can stiffen it up, it'll make it less likely hopefully. That in addition to saying do not bend on the envelope

No cardboard is "bend-proof" if that is what you are looking for. The idea is make the envelope a little bit more stiff to prevent anyone from unintentionally creasing your photo. It's okay if it is curled up a bit but not creased. If that's the case it can be flattended out but putting it in a protective sleeve or toploader.

okay, I give up. I can't for the life of me figure out what type of board that it is. It wasn't tagboard paper. I'd say it's kind of like a fiberboard mailer type, but this has to have a name, and I'm sure I can find it.

The lady at Staples knew what I was talking about, they just didn't carry it, so at least I'm not going crazy... yet

alright, I went to staples and picked up some card stock. However, it's not "heavy" enough, as it bends too easily. anyone have any idea where I can get some heavier from?

this one is 110lb 199 G/m(squared) -- whatever that means

what is a good measurement for stock?

maybe I need tagboard instead? which i found and is heavier then card stock, but not as heavy as cardboard. I think that's what was used in the mailer I got from an ebay seller now that I've seen it.
