Here's my two cents.

I used to work at a live theatre venue and previews are usually very busy times because the director/actors are still tweaking the show and sometimes they rehearsed right after the show. Also, opening night is also incredibly busy. It might be a better idea to send after opening night just because the actors don't have as much pressure or stress on them. But given the choice between opening night and previews, I'd send during previews.
