I apologize. I only looked at the "Johnny" and made a dumb assumption...

Thanks a lot for the information. I just wanted to be sure. I've been through them and there is a good mixture of values (even found a $5 one), so I think I will definitely be making use of them.

I've just read that any stamp after the Civil War can be used currently, which is pretty amazing!

^ You're correct. Only me and the celebrity will know that I put the stamps on the envelope. I'm a she by the way, lol. :D

It won't gain any attention. If you look at the info to the left, you'll see he's from across the pond. That means he'll be using it on his SASE, which will be hidden in the outer envelope.

They will be fine! You may just be putting a lot of stamps on one envelope to make 44 cents or whatever. Who knows? Maybe that will gain your envelope some attention? :) Good luck!

Yes, you can use them. I have an uncle who is retired from the post office. A few months ago he was showing me some stamps he bought over the years in the hope they would be worth something. Since they're not, he said he was going to use them as postage.

If you would rather trade them you'll have to post it in the for sale/for trade forum.

Very old American stamps

Well I bought over $33 of unused American stamps on eBay and when they arrived this morning, apart from a very small selection of modern stamps (which were the only stamps that could clearl be seen in the photograph on eBay) the rest are mid-seventies, early eighties, and few from the nineties and some early 2000's.

Apart from feeling like an idiot if I used them, they are still OK to use yes?

Unless anyone collects old American stamps and wants to trade.
