Ah I see, it was the change of subject that threw me :)

As Connor said, one 1st class stamp will cover up to 100g. Either use a 1st class LARGE for A4, or 1st class regular for A5. If you want, you can use 2nd class instead, it's cheaper & will just take a day longer than 1st (the same size rules apply).

sorry, the second question was for sending within the uk, not internationally, i thought i'd ask instead of making a new topic for it :)

I'm planning on sending all the uk ones out first and then international but wondered if i send something within the uk do i need one stamp or more?

When you say "to and from UK" do you mean sending international (after all, you were requesting info about IRCs)? If so it's dependant on weight & size & destination, so check the Royal Mail website for the international prices.

Hello,

You can buy Internation Reply Coupons (IRC's) in the UK but they are not sold in all post offices. They are sold in the main post offices, the ones where they send your parcel for collection if you are out and it is too big to the letter box. If the envelope is A4 and has only got letters or pictures in, ask for a 1st class large stamp but if you are sending big parcels then ask for a recommended service, they may say Recorded delivery but if it is just a A4 envelope which is light weight and thin then 1st class large stamp.

Hope this helps,
Connor {up}

Does anyone know if you can buy these in the uk? and if you can are they called something different?

I've just been on the royal mail website and searched "international reply coupons" but it didn't have anything that matched this.

Also can anyone tell me how many stamps you would need to put on an self addressed A4 envelope if posting to and from the uk? (hope that makes sense)

Thank You
