Sorry if my post above was misleading. I don't buy Playbills. I was just trying to explain the best envelopes and postage to use when requesting them. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Finally found the best and cheapest way to get Playbills. Get 6x9 envelopes that don't have the metal tabs. The Post Office charges an extra $0.20 when using the ones with the metal tabs because they aren't machine friendly with their sorting machines. I found white 6x9 envelopes without the metal tabs at Staples. I put $0.44 on the envelope I am using to mail the request and SASE and $0.78 on the SASE. I have received 5 Playbills. Still waiting on 14.

Just checked http://www.usps.com and the woman at the post office charged me for a "large" envelope at 4oz! I use a 6x9! :cry: Just found my postal scale and weighed the envelope and Playbill myself and it came to 2.2oz (I used an older Playbill that was a little heavier to be safe). According to the USPS site that means $0.78 because it's over 2oz.

I use 0.61$ for postage.
Geez, I took my envelope to the post office along with a Playbill to get the correct weight and they told me $1.39! :shock: So I've been putting double the amount on?!
I need to talk to the lady at my PO. {down}

I use 0.61$ for postage. Most playbills weigh more then an ounce sometimes over two-- but many members report success with 1 stamp (.44). Personally I rather pay the correct postage then risk no getting it back. But it is up to you one stamp does work sometimes but I believe the correct postage is 0.61$ for the US.

Depends on where is it going. In the US to another US address ony needs one stamp. Overseas you need 0.98 in stamps.
