Speaking as another massive Paul/Beatles fan, I know exactly what you mean. I'm planning on trying for his autograph this tour, too, and it's hard to think of what to say. If it ever came down to standing in front of him, I doubt I would be able to form sentences. But speaking as a college student who is constantly assigned essays, I've learned that the best thing to do when you don't know what to write is...write. Open up a word processor or something on your computer, and put down everything you might possibly want to say. Then just rework it constantly, keep drafting it and tweaking it and trimming it down to a decent length until you get the final, polished letter you can be proud of.
This might be totally useless to you, it's just how I think and how I'll probably write my letter. Hope this helps some!
