I have bought foreign postage through Ebay. The real postage works better than IRC's.

Another suggestion (and one that I've used numerous times) is to find a stamp/coin dealer near you. Go to them and get some French stamps that you can use on your SASE. You'll pay a few pennies over the face value of the stamp but it all evens out in the end, and it's a ton cheaper than IRCs. :)

I've seen people on this site who are looking to trade French stamps for US stamps. Check the "Autographs For Sale/Exchance" forum. You might be able to find a deal there. You can't list an offer in that forum since they require a minimum of three months as a member of the site and 100 posts though. But if someone makes an offer that fits what you're looking for you can respond.

I want to send a letter to France, but I'm not sure what to do about the SASE. The post office near me does not have IRC's so I need to figure out an alternative. Can anyone suggest something to me? Thank you.
