Holding it up to the light and seeing if the autograph is printed onto the paper (preprint).

I was wondering the same question myself. I try to mainly collect all of my autographs by buying trading cards or from places that are known to be legit- those I know for a fact are the real deal. Its like every autograph I have gotten through ttm is considered a fake until proven authentic, but who takes the time out to authenticate all of their auto? Like anyone else-I beleive my autos are real until proven fake, but in reality its the other way around!

By experience of getting that certain actor in person. I've been collecting since the 70's so I' pretty familar with who's signature looks like.
