Good luck
by the way: you dont really know if the venue forwarded it to her or not..my 2nd vv success from her took about 4 months to get back and it was real....so it may still take time even if its a vv request..i think that she is being picky and choosing certain ones because i have seen some people that i send to the same venue as someone else and they got a success and not me so i think she picks certain ones..lol

its a risk..but always remember in the end something positive comes out of all this...99% of the time

I don't think her, or any other artist for that matter, "is picky" I think the tour manager is. Maybe they filter out any "ebayers" and other things, maybe they choose the best letters, but if you read the "insiders guide to vv" you see that everything is filtered through.
Heyheyyou wrote:Thanks:) I think at this point I am not going to send anymore stuff. I love Taylor but I am starting to feel rejected and constanly sending photos gets expensive too so I am giving up:(
If it helps, I got a Taylor autograph from my first try, at a venue that I had tried 6 times before, and never gotten a reply!

I really think it is all luck honestly. Incompetent/lazy postmen and venue staff
and when i say "its a huge risk": IT IS!

and i think taylor is being picky..thats just my humble opinion...her fans got her to where she is today and she should be able to sign the few VV requests that do come her way...not that minute but she should. i got britney spears 7 times VV...and you know what i sent Britney to the same places of taylor: Texas, Philly, OK, Florida, Cali, And two more i cant remember....lol..but i think its taylor. and i have more important things to do than read a book: my letters can be very personal and i tell alot of info about myself that some of you may not share with others and i get successes that way...but im not gonna write a 10 page letter every time...
Heyheyyou:
and if i were u wanting a signed photo from taylor and i tried three times i would of bought one by now..lol.

Lol the insiders guide to vv was not a book, it was a post on here made by a member who used to be either a tour or band manager, I forget which one. Anyhow, the crux of his post was that he opens and reads everything first, then simply lays the photos out on a table for the band to sign when ready. The singer of his band may or may not read the actual letters, depending on his mood, the time, schedule etc etc. He said if he gets 1 paragraph letters, he simply chucks the package in the bin. I believe he said that this process is the same for 95% of bands and singers out there (I presume the remainder simply don't sign lol)
Anyway, the point of all of that was, if the situation is the similar for most artists, then it is Taylor's management who is being, for want of a better term, "picky" not her.She has no reason to be, as there are still a lot of successes from her, so she clearly does sign. One listen to her music would indicate she is not the pretentious type, and she is not an actor so there should be no issues in regards to images she will not sign.
Heyheyyou:
One last bit of possible help... How many days before the concert do you send? Because, in my experiences, you can actually send "too early" for a concert. When I started, I obviously thought to get it there ASAP (two or so weeks in advance), to no avail. So, when I got my Taylor success, I sent it THREE DAYS before the concert (venue was in my own city). And, all of a sudden, I got a reply! In my experience here in Australia, here are some other reasons why I don't think I got replies:
-My first few letters who too blunt/to-the-point , as I did not want to bore the celeb. But looking back, it made me sound like an ebayer.
-The people at my local post office are incompetent, so it is not a stretch to presume there are incompetent postman.
- Corrupt postman, I have heard a few horror stories about people not getting stuff back from a VERY famous name (Mohammed Ali etc) After complaining to their post office, guess what? They got it back!

I have no doubt that when some posties see "Beyonce Knowles" on the envelope, they open it to see if anything valuable is in it. I often think my envelope never makes it
- I know two people who work at the Adelaide entertainment centre(our major concert centre) One is a fairly smart, reliable girl, the other is an absolute moron of a man, who acts like a primary school student. Logic dictates it could be like that worldwide- Monday, an honest worker could have there shift, Tuesday, a lazy d*ckhead could have theres.
Anyway, hope that diatribe helps you in anyway Heyheyyou. I know how annoying it is not to get a reply from someone who replies to seemingly everyone else.
